A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing what she observed about the wife of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo during his burial.
Funeral held in Abia State
The actor, who reportedly passed away on May 11, 2026, after battling metastatic kidney cancer, was laid to rest in his hometown in Arochukwu, Abia State.
A service of songs was earlier held for him in Lagos on June 10, 2026, before the final burial rites continued in his hometown, where his wife was also present to pay her last respect.

The video that triggered reactions showed Alex Ekubo’s wife at the graveside during the burial ceremony.
While standing close to the casket, she was seen placing a hand on her stomach as she mourned, a moment that quickly drew attention online.
Lady Links Action to Pregnancy Rumour
Taking to X, the lady identified as @Iam_sistabibi shared what she observed in the clip amid the ongoing pregnancy rumours.
She wrote:
“The Rumour of Late Alex Ekubo wife being pregnant is true. Lookat the way she’s holding her tummy. This is so heartbreaking.”
She further added in the comments:
“Eze that announced the pregnancy ooooo. Leave me alone. I’m just a maiden.”
