A man has been apprehended in Nwagu, Agulu, in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, for allegedly stealing ₦95,000 from a Point of Sale (POS) operator.
According to reports, vigilant residents of the community quickly mobilized and tracked down the suspect shortly after the alleged theft was discovered. Their coordinated effort led to his successful apprehension.
Residents were praised not only for their vigilance but also for exercising restraint by allowing due process to take its course rather than resorting to mob justice.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to operatives of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group in Anambra State for further investigation and appropriate action.
