A 32-year-old man identified as Omari Issa has tearfully narrated his struggles and pleaded with his wife, Amina Ally, to return home.

Omari claimed that his wife abandoned him and their nine-month-old daughter at the hospital, where the little girl had been admitted for treatment.
He said his troubles began when he, Amina and their daughter moved to Dar es Salaam from Mwanza after a friend promised him a driving job.
However, upon arriving in the city, the friend allegedly vanished despite having already received more than TSh 300,000 (about KSh 14,826) from him to help secure the position.

To make matters worse, their young daughter fell ill and was admitted to hospital for more than six days.
How did Omari Issa’s wife disappear?
On the sixth day, Amina reportedly asked him to remain at the ward with their child while she went home to rest for a while. However, she never returned.
“A neighbour later informed me that my wife had left. When I went back home, I found that she had taken nearly everything we owned, including money and household items such as a bed, mattress and freezer, before disappearing,” he said.
Omari claimed that his wife had left behind his clothes and those of their daughter.
Left with virtually nothing, the father of one and his daughter were forced to live in a makeshift shelter built from maize stalks and tarpaulin sheets on a maize farm.
The distraught father further revealed that a few days before his wife disappeared, he came across a text message on her phone from another man.

“The sender told her to leave her husband and come live with him,” he stated.
Despite the discovery, Omari said he chose to forgive her after she apologised.
“I saw the messages, but I forgave her. I have no grudge against her. I only want her to come back so we can raise our child together,” he said.
Omari said life has been extremely difficult as he struggles to find work to support himself and his daughter while caring for her on his own.
“We lived together as husband and wife for three years. Raising a child alone is extremely difficult. I am doing everything I can for my daughter. Wherever she is, I want her to know that I have forgiven her. I just want her to come back,” he said.
