The suspect was caught on camera carrying out the alleged theft, seemingly unaware that her actions were being recorded.

The incident occurred in broad daylight, with the area appearing calm and relatively deserted.

Although there were few people around and no apparent witnesses, the CCTV camera monitored everything that was happening.

“The woman seen on the camera came to my place of work. We suspect she sprayed something on the lady who was working, causing her to lose consciousness. She stole the trousers you can see on her shoulders. Kindly let me know if you know her,” the caption read.

Several items, including clothes and bags, were neatly displayed on the stand, as seen in the footage.

What items were stolen from the business?

The suspect appeared to be acting alone as she calmly picked up a large bundle of clothes, seemingly confident that no one was watching.

She was neither hurried nor selective, taking a considerable quantity of items and placing them on her shoulder before walking away.

Most of the items she picked were trousers, while she left behind the backpacks displayed nearby.

From the way she carried the khaki trousers, it appeared she was primarily focused on taking those items and leaving the rest.

Saidah Juddy

“I think it’s time people who install CCTV cameras also hire someone to monitor them in real time. That way, suspects can be caught before leaving the shop. I don’t see the benefit of CCTV if you only discover the theft after the thief has already escaped.”

Babake Caxton

“They use a chemical known as scopolamine. If it is sprayed on you, you become disoriented.”
