Nollywood actor Stan Nze has expressed disappointment after several phones were reportedly stolen during the service of songs held in honour of late actor Alexx Ekubo in Lekki, Lagos State.
Speaking barely 48 hours after the event, Stan Nze revealed that more than five mobile phones went missing while mourners gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased actor.
The actor questioned how individuals could take advantage of an atmosphere of grief and mourning to engage in theft, describing the incident as disturbing and unfortunate.
“How can you come to a service of songs where people are mourning and grieving for the late Alexx Ekubo and you steal phones? More than five phones were missing yesterday,” he said.
Stan Nze further argued that societal problems cannot be blamed solely on political leaders, stressing that citizens also have a role to play in shaping the country’s moral values.
“We are always complaining about the government, but if we chase everyone from the government, who will enter there? Still the citizens,” he added.
