‘Mummy, We Are Sorry’ — Cute Abiola Tenders Public Apology to Patience Jonathan

Popular skitmaker Cute Abiola has publicly apologised to former First Lady Patience Jonathan on behalf of Nigerians over the ridicule she faced after breaking down in tears during the 2014 Chibok schoolgirls abduction crisis.

In an emotional message shared online, Cute Abiola reflected on Jonathan’s widely publicised reaction to the kidnapping of the Chibok girls, noting that many people mocked her at the time for openly expressing grief and concern over the tragedy.

According to him, the persistent wave of kidnappings and insecurity across the country has made many Nigerians realise that her tears were not a sign of weakness but an expression of genuine compassion for the victims and their families.

The comedian stated that Jonathan understood the pain, bloodshed, and trauma being experienced by affected communities and spoke out because she recognised the gravity of the situation facing the nation.

“Mummy! I just want to say we are sorry,” he wrote, thanking the former First Lady for caring, speaking up, and showing empathy during one of Nigeria’s darkest moments.

Cute Abiola also offered prayers for families affected by insecurity, asking God to comfort victims and restore peace across the country.
