“Sometimes the devil will attack you through what you love the most (family). But I am slow to blame the devil on this one. There are things I would have done better, there are ways I would have changed. I should never have allowed marriage to take me away from my church service and ministry,” he shared.
According to him, one of his biggest mistakes was not being more gracious, forgiving, caring and understanding towards his ex-wife, Mary Mathenge.
He also expressed gratitude for being a present father to his children despite the challenges surrounding the breakdown of his marriage, noting that he loves them deeply.
Furthermore, the Solani Tours director took a swipe at mutual friends whom he accused of contributing to the downfall of his marriage by fuelling misunderstandings between him and his former spouse.
“To the ‘friends’ who contributed to our downfall by making sure you reported everything you saw us do against each other, photos taken with friends that you thought were worth screenshots and sharing, this is for you. We are finally done; you can now move on to the next marriage,” he wrote.

Nderitu also apologised to the young couples he and his former wife had mentored during their marriage, expressing regret that he had failed to sustain his own relationship and praying that theirs would endure.
He further thanked a couple who had stood by them and tried to save their marriage, even though they eventually lost hope that the relationship could be restored.
The businessman also appealed to his pastor and the pastor’s wife to continue praying for him and his family, acknowledging the efforts they made to reconcile the couple.
“You even came looking for us, and I personally avoided you. You know the call of God over my life better than anyone else. Please find it in your heart to pray for me. I am not okay,” he shared.
Way forward for Solani Tours director after marriage breakdown
Nderitu said he has finally accepted that his marriage is over and is now praying for healing, recovery from depressive thoughts, peace to embrace the possibility of marrying again and finding happiness, as well as the grace to forgive both himself and his ex-wife.

The father of two also prayed for God to restore his passion and desire to serve Him and help him avoid repeating the mistakes that contributed to the collapse of his marriage.
“To the women I have hurt in the process, I am sorry. I pray that God brings you better, healed men. I was looking for a woman called Mary among all of you. I opened a tap I should never have opened. I desire marriage, but above all now, I desire restoration. I desire to serve God wholeheartedly and be made whole again,” he concluded.
