The footage showed the moment a man posing as a customer allegedly took advantage of the shopkeeper’s carelessness and stole a mobile phone.
“This is carelessness. First, put a grill in the shop. Secondly, place your phone very far from the reach of anyone outside the shop. Better yet, keep it on shelves at the back,” read the caption accompanying the video.

Businesswoman thwarts attempt by woman to steal her phone
In another story, a Somali businesswoman was excited when a woman walked into her shop accompanied by her husband and several other people, hoping to make significant sales.
However, she soon realised that one of the customers was allegedly attempting to steal from her right under her nose.
Acting quickly, she managed to stop the theft before it could happen.
The young entrepreneur has since urged Kenyans to be vigilant, warning that some thieves now operate in groups to distract business owners while carrying out their crimes.
