Fancie had gone to Gikomba Market to purchase more stock for her clothing business and locked her house before leaving, unaware of what would happen in her absence.

Speaking to NGBREAKINGNEWS, Fancie revealed that she had been in a relationship with her boyfriend for five months.

However, the two broke up in what she had hoped would be a peaceful separation.

“He still had my spare key and had not yet returned it. I am a teacher by profession, but I also sell clothes as a side hustle. I returned home and found everything submerged in water. The floor was completely flooded,” she said.

She noted that the man wanted them to reconcile, but she declined, adding that she had already moved on.

On Thursday, June 11, the man allegedly took advantage of her absence, sneaked into her house and opened a tap, causing water to overflow throughout the house.

He then reportedly turned off the tap, locked the door and walked away. Her clothing was soaked, and the water damaged her pupils’ books and other household items.

“This guy got my key a few months ago because we were dating, and I was okay with that. I have moved on, and he is not supposed to come to my house under any circumstances. On Thursday, he came into my house, opened the tap and then blocked all my numbers, but he will regret my next move,” said Fancie.

The businesswoman said she was forced to wash all the clothes and hang them out to dry because some had already been paid for by clients. She added that books belonging to her pupils were also destroyed by the flooding.

“The neighbours saw him, but it did not seem unusual because he had visited me several times before. I removed five full buckets of water from the house. Truly, fear these men,” she said.

Furthermore, she reported the matter to the police and hopes justice will be served.
