Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has spoken about her political journey and achievements, describing herself as a “silent worker” who prefers actions over self-praise.
Speaking during a recent interview with journalists while responding to a question, Remi Tinubu noted that although she was not initially planning to address the issue, she felt compelled to speak after being put on the spot.
“I wasn’t going to address it, but now that you’re putting me on the spot. I have ran elections. I am the first woman to be in the Senate three times. I don’t sing my own praise, but I am a silent worker,” she stated.
The First Lady highlighted her record in public service, pointing to her multiple terms in the Senate as evidence of her contributions to governance and leadership.
She maintained that her focus has always been on delivering results rather than seeking public recognition for her efforts.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu served as Senator representing Lagos Central for three consecutive terms before becoming Nigeria’s First Lady following the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
