The alleged first wife of the late veteran actor, Mr Ibu, has broken her silence following his widow’s cry for help.
Kemi Filani reported that Stella and her kids, while speaking to influencer King Mitchy, lamented their plight, revealing that they now fetch water from a well because she hasn’t been able to pay their house rent. She said their light has been cut off for two months, and they have to rely on others to charge their phones.

In a video captured online, his alleged first wife recalled how, while the actor was in a sick bed, Stella had his first son and his adopted daughter, Jasmine Okafor, arrested because they were in charge of the money Nigerians donated.
She claimed that even after his death, Stella sold the house in Enugu for about N18 million. According to her, Stella claimed that water was entering his Lagos home, which led the police to advise them to rent another house for her, which they did, unaware that she intended to sell the Lagos property as well.
The first wife added that after Ibu’s burial, Stella and her group took all the money and went on a spending spree. She said that what Stella is experiencing is karma, noting that Stella would still squander the money donated to her.
“Stella Okafor, whom King Mitchy interviewed, is the fifth wife of my late husband, while I am his first wife. When my husband was on his sickbed, Stella had my first son and our adopted daughter arrested because they were in charge of the money Nigerians donated.
Even after my husband’s de@th, Stella sold the house in Enugu for about ₦18 million. She also claimed that water was entering Mr Ibu’s house in Lagos, prompting the police to advise us to rent her another house. We did, not knowing she intended to sell the Lagos property as well.
After my husband’s burial, Stella and her group took all the money and went on a spending spree. Now you think karma won’t catch up with you? What you’re experiencing now is only the beginning; the real karma is still coming. Even if people donate millions of naira to you again, you will still come online in the future to beg.”
Refreshing your memory, Mr Ibu was married five times. Four of his marriages ended in separation and divorce.
His fifth wife, Stella Marris Okafor, was his final and most well-known wife before his demise.
During the actor’s illness, blogger, Gistlover, claimed his wife wanted to take over the donation money to fund her lavish lifestyle as she was always talking about buying an iPhone 15 and new cars. The blog also claimed that Mr Ibu’s wife had used her account to get N1 million from the donation.
Reacting to it, Stella Maris alleged that his adopted daughter, Jasmine was trying to make her an outsider in her marriage. Describing her statement as malicious, she vowed to address Jasmine’s excessive interference in her family affairs and other related matters.
Refuting her claims, Mr Ibu’s son, Daniel revealed that he was the one in charge of the actor’s account. According to him, he is the signatory to the account and his next of kin. He stated that there was no truth in Stella Maris’ allegations as Jasmine didn’t have access to his account.
