Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has alleged that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) submitted a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seeking an investigation into him and activist Adeyanju Deji.
According to VDM, the petitioners questioned the funding behind their anti-bad governance protests, claiming the demonstrations were too organized and attracted massive public participation. He alleged that attempts are being made to link the protest movement to terrorism-related activities.
VDM specifically named Edo State-based lawyer Blessing Agbomhere as the petitioner and described the move as an attempt to silence critics of the government.
