“This Is a Time for Prayer”- Outrage as Defense Minister Suggests Prayer Amid Rising Insecurity

Nigeria’s Defence Minister has sparked widespread reactions after calling for unity and prayer in response to ongoing security challenges in the country.

Speaking on the issue, the minister said Nigerians should not engage in blame but instead focus on collective prayers against terrorism.

He stated: “This is the time for us to pray together, it’s a not a time to blame anybody, it’s a time for unity, the terrorist just want to put fear in us.”

The comment quickly circulated on social media, where it triggered strong reactions from Nigerians expressing concern over the country’s security situation.
