Lagos, Nigeria — Confusion and tension erupted on Thursday after a female student reportedly exhibited strange behaviour, stripped herself naked, and acted incoherently shortly after being dropped off at a residential gate in Lagos State. According to eyewitness accounts, the young woman was brought to the location in a vehicle by unidentified men before she was dropped off at the entrance of a compound. Moments after the vehicle left, she was said to have begun behaving erratically, drawing the attention of residents and passersby.
She was just standing there confused at first. Then suddenly she started shouting and acting out of control,” an eyewitness said. “People tried to approach her, but she wasn’t responding normally.

The young woman may have been in the company of suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys before she was dropped off, though this has not been confirmed by authorities.
