2. Puzzling CCTV shows daring act by 2 men at 3.56am

Two unknown men were captured on CCTV trying to break into a shop in the early hours of the morning in a carefully coordinated burglary attempt that took less than five minutes.

The incident was recorded at around 3:56 am, and it showed the duo approaching the premises in the dark before they attempted to force open a metal door using what looked like a metal-like object.

One of the suspects was also seen pressing against the entrance while the other helped him, and both appeared to test weak points on the shop’s security structure.

3. Utumishi Girls fire: Sorrow as shares note daughter wrote death

A grieving parent who had a daughter at Utumishi Girls Academy shared a heartbreaking handwritten note from her daughter that offered a glimpse into the young girl’s final days before the devastating incident.

The note, written by Sallystine Melly, entailed a simple request to her mother, and in neat handwriting, she politely asked for help paying her bread voucher after running out of the important credit at school.

“Hey mom, how are you? I was kindly requesting if you could pay my bread voucher since I am out of bread voucher,” the note read. What was once an ordinary message between a daughter and her mother has now become a treasured memory for a family shattered by loss.

A Gilgil man showed relief and a lot of gratitude after he learnt that the student he sponsors, Elizabeth, survived the Utumishi Girls Academy fire unharmed.

Njoroge described the survival of the girl as a “blessing in disguise” and vowed to continue supportingh her education up to university level.

The fire at Utumishi Girls Academy left 16 students dead, several injured, and many families devastated.
