The girl first started by praising teachers who supported learners after the incident, but later on she accused one teacher who was present at the funeral of hypocrisy

Her emotional remarks left a lot of mourners in stunned silence before two adults stepped in and took her away from the microphone.

2. Celebration as JKUAT Graduate Wins Prestigious Medical Scholarship

Joan Ruguru Kimani was over the moon after earning international recognition from the American Thoracic Society (ATS) Underrepresented Trainee Development Scholarship Award, which offered her a scholarship.

The award recognises medical professionals who are committed to advancing healthcare research as well as improving patient outcomes.

The JKUAT graduate who boasts a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees will begin her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Kevin Havi Adoli of the Kenya Air Force sadly died two days after returning home to visit his dear parents back in Vihiga county.

According to his mother, she found him unconscious in a chair on June 10, and rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination conducted at Mashujaa Memorial Funeral Home revealed the cause of his sudden death, and Uncle Gerishom Andani announced the burial date.

4. Utumishi Girls Academy principal breaks silence

Utumishi Girls Academy principal identified as Joycelyn Karanja spoke in public for the first time since the tragic dormitory fire.

Karanja was speaking at the burial of Nicole Mitchelle Muiruri in Embu County, where she expressed a lot of sorrow and reflected on the devastating tragedy.

A total of nine students were laid to rest on Saturday, June 13, after a joint memorial requiem service, while five others were buried the following week.
