A Nigerian lady has criticised billionaire businessman E-Money over his choice of outfit during the funeral of actor Alexx Ekubo.
The burial ceremony, which took place on June 18, 2026, was held at Mary Slessor School Field in Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, Abia State, drawing several Nollywood personalities and well-wishers.
The lady, who uses the Facebook name “TheAbroadNurse,” questioned whether E-Money’s appearance at the event was appropriate, suggesting that some of the actions observed at the funeral were unnecessary.
In her post, she wrote: “Was all this necessary at the funeral? That packing of clothe by another warm blooded human, was it really necessary? If I give my take now…”
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Alexx Ekubo passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 40 after battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer. His family later confirmed his death in an official statement shared via his Instagram page.
His final rites were carried out in Arochukwu, Abia State, in June 2026, with several entertainment figures in attendance, including Obi Cubana, Ini Edo, Nancy Isime, among other Nollywood stars.
The late actor, who hails from Arochukwu in Abia State, attended Federal Government College, Daura in Katsina State before studying Law at the University of Calabar. In 2021, he also received an honorary degree in Arts and Culture from ISCG University in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
