Nigerian comedian Bovi has raised the bar on Father’s Day as he celebrates his wife.
Sharing photos of himself and his Queen, he questioned how he would have handled the kids without his wife. He described his kids as restless Gen Z and alpha children who always hit back at him when he asks them a rhetorical question.

Bovi appreciated his wife for dividing his job into two.

“Happy Father’s Day to ME and us because without you, where will I start from with those crázy restless Gen z and alpha children who look me right back in the eyes and answer me “no” when I ask “are you stupíd” simply because they don’t know that it’s a rhetorical question and part of a system meant to assert my authority? Thank you for dividing my job into 2 @krisasimonye”.

In a recent interview with Morayo Afolabi, the comedian said he celebrates when people get divorced because he feels it means one or both were not breathing well in the marriage. Bovi admitted that his marriage hasn’t been easy, but he would never make life difficult for anyone, and he wouldn’t want anyone to make life difficult for him.
Last year, Bovi and Kris Asimonye, had celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary, with lovely family photos. The comedian revealed that when they get bored, they will make new kids.
Just a day before their anniversary, Bovi celebrated his wife, Kris Asimonye, as she turned a new age. He described his wife as his biggest win since inception. Calling her the love of his life, he stated that his wife is the tree that shades him from the sun.
Bovi got married in 2009 to Kris Asimonye Ugboma.
In an interview last year, Bovi shared his secret to staying married, revealing that he was just lucky, as he believes most marriages have to do with luck before any planning comes into play. The comedian noted that there is no perfect marriage, but perfection comes from loving the imperfections.
In a past interview, he said he always knew he would marry a fine woman, and was lucky as his wife was similar to his mother. Bovi, also stated that he never planned to have three children, adding that he wanted to have just a child. Now the couple is blessed with three children.
Back in 2023, the couple renewed their vows to celebrate their anniversary. The couple renewed their vows on water, with mariners as officiating ministers. The video from the renewal caused a stir online, with many nicknaming the couple Mr and Mrs Mariners.
