2026 WAFCON: Ajibade, Oshoala lead early Super Falcons arrivals

The Super Falcons have begun preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with nine players reporting to the team’s training camp in Casablanca, Morocco.

The early arrivals include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and experienced forward Asisat Oshoala.

Also in camp are Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Fatima Oloko, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran and Shukurat Oladipo.

The team’s media officer, Mary Akinsola, confirmed the arrivals on Monday, adding that more players and members of the technical crew are expected to join the camp in the coming days as preparations gather momentum.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Malawi and Zambia and is expected to begin full-scale training once the squad is complete.
