Collins Ehibor, a 30-year-old alleged fraudulent attorney, was granted bail by a Magistrate Court in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.
He entered a not guilty plea to the allegations brought against him, and the court presided over by Chief Magistrate Gregory Epete Esq. granted him N200,000.00 in bail with two sureties.
In addition, the Court postponed the hearing until July 14, 2026.
On July 6, 2026, Collins Ehibor, the purported fraudulent attorney, was taken into custody and charged with ME/89C/2026 before the Magistrate Court.
He was charged with two counts: fraudulently gaining by false pretense, which is penalized under Section 419 of the Criminal Code, and impersonation, which is punishable under Section 484 of the Criminal Code.
The court granted him N200,000.00 in bail with two sureties after he entered a not guilty plea.
Members of the NBA’s Effurun Branch and other interested parties crowded the courtroom to watch the proceedings.
