The Commission announced the exercise in a recruitment notice issued from its National Headquarters in Abuja, stating that applications opened on Friday, 3 July, 2026 and will remain open for four weeks.

It said interested candidates must apply online through its official recruitment portal, adding that the exercise is entirely free.

The FRSC said the recruitment is part of efforts to strengthen its workforce in road safety administration and traffic management as it pursues its goal of becoming a world-class organisation.

Under the Officer Cadre, the Commission announced vacancies for Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), CONPASS 11.

It said applicants must possess an MBBS, MBBCh or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution, alongside an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and must be between 18 and 35 years old.

Applicants, it said, must possess at least three credit passes in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.

The Commission also invited applications from drivers, riders and artisans, including computer operators, mechanics, motorcycle riders, electricians, instrumentalists, tailors and plumbers.

It stated that applicants under the category must possess a minimum of three SSCE credit passes, relevant trade test certificates or professional qualifications where applicable, and valid driver’s or rider’s licences appropriate to their category.

In addition, articulated vehicle drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old and all applicants must be physically and mentally fit.

The FRSC directed interested candidates to submit applications online through its recruitment portal, noting that shortlisted applicants would be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.

The Commission listed Nigerian citizenship by birth, computer literacy and possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence as part of the general requirements, noting that the driver’s licence would be an added advantage.

It also warned applicants to declare all certificates and qualifications during the application process, stressing that undeclared qualifications would not be recognised for future career progression in the Corps.
