Gunmen k!ll two police officers in Rivers security checkpoint attack
The Rivers State Police Command has launched a manhunt for gunmen who k!lled two police officers and injured another during an attack on a security checkpoint in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The attack occurred on Monday night, June 29, 2026 at about 9pm along the Mbodo/Aluu axis of Obiri-Kwere Road, where the officers were conducting a routine stop-and-search operation.
