Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has sent a message to ladies on love and marriage.
In an interview with BBC News Pidgin, he said love and marriage are not scams, revealing that the real problems lie with people who enter purely for selfish and financial gains.
He explained that relationships become fraudulent when one partner secretly uses the other as a meal ticket. Emeka described genuine love as beautiful and stressed that relationships should be built on sincerity rather than hidden motives or financial expectations.
The legendary actor slammed women who are fond of dating wealthy men mainly to benefit financially from them. He urged them to stop pretending to be in love while pursuing selfish interests.
Emeka urged women not to let social media shape their expectations of relationships, stressing that every marriage is different and that couples should focus on understanding, supporting, and solving problems together rather than comparing their relationships with others online.
“Love and marriage no be scam. But e get people wey dey hungry wey dey use relationship as meal ticket. Dat na where e become scam.
Relationship suppose to dey succeed. Love na the foundation and pillar of every good relationship.

Toke Makinwa had advised ladies in relationships, telling them to marry the man who calls after an argument to make sure they are okay, rather than one who leaves them alone to deal with their pain. Makinwa stressed that one should choose a partner who stays when things get difficult and seeks understanding rather than trying to win every argument.
Comedian Funny Bone had advised ladies who are scared of relationships and marriages because of bad online examples to curate their algorithms and stop feeding their minds content that constantly triggers pain, fear, and resentment. He admonished them not to let others’ experiences shape how they view a man who hasn’t even entered their life yet.
