Content creator Captain Riri has stirred debate online after claiming that TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis are not compatible as a couple, despite their upcoming wedding.
Speaking about their relationship, Riri said the only thing the pair have in common is TikTok, a remark that has generated mixed reactions across social media.
The comments come just days after Jarvis proudly showed off her engagement ring and announced that their August 1 wedding would be “a shutdown.”
The couple has remained in the spotlight ahead of the ceremony. Jarvis had also previously sparked controversy when she said people who do not have money should not dream of getting married, a statement that drew widespread criticism and support in equal measure.
As expected, Captain Riri’s opinion divided social media users, with many insisting outsiders should not judge a relationship based on what they see online, while others argued that some warning signs should not be ignored.
Some of the reactions below:
@Yungmonie1003: “We know them, they no get stable relationship, dem go come online con dey check who is compatible or not…..ozuor.”
@Edvinng: “Are you living with them? How do you know they aren’t compatible? The TikTok you are using to judge them is mostly staged to entertain viewers. They aren’t your problem.”

@Dan95932255: “So they’re basically a duet of viral dance moves, not a love song. TikTok is the only thing keeping them in sync.”
@kingkunlecs: “Must you say something? Both parties agreed to marry and they are adults. Wetin concern una?”
@Ib__Sajo: “Even if Peller asked her to be his second wife, she would agree without thinking twice. The boy is every woman’s spec.”
@kingbeejay04: “I’m not a hater, but the signs that this marriage will crash are so glaring.”
@AmaechiJust_: “But who asked you ma?”
