The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly arrested controversial entertainer DJ Chicken following a viral video in which he allegedly threatened the life of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
In the video, which surfaced online earlier this week, DJ Chicken allegedly claimed that President Tinubu would not secure re-election in the 2027 presidential election. He further stated that if the president were to win another term, he would kill Seyi Tinubu.
The remarks sparked widespread reactions on social media, with reports of the entertainer’s arrest emerging shortly afterwards.
On Thursday night, content creator Tunde Perry appeared to confirm the arrest during a livestream. According to him, DJ Chicken’s comments about President Tinubu and the alleged threat against Seyi Tinubu prompted authorities to take action.

Perry claimed that although neither President Tinubu nor his son was directly responsible for the arrest, individuals close to the presidency allegedly facilitated the move.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not issued an official statement confirming the arrest or outlining any charges against DJ Chicken. Likewise, the entertainer has not publicly responded to the reports.
