Barrister Solomon alyop, President of the Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM), said in a terror alert shared Wednesday with TruthNigeria that armed groups were massing at staging grounds ahead of planned attacks on Christian villages in Riyom.
The alert reads: “Armed Fulani and bandits on motorbikes, three to one each, from Kafi-Abu and other places are currently moving towards Mahanga and other nearby Fulani settlements with intent to massively attack Tanjol, Vwak and other villages of Jol Community, Riyom LGA in Plateau State.”
It further warns: “Another group would be marching from Fass while Mahanga axis will be their major camp before onward movement as the bandits have secured the services and permission of some security agents to have the community uprooted this time around.”
Dalyop advised July 15: “All neighbouring villages, including Rim, Tashek, Wereng-Camp, Gako, Byei, Kum, Gwol-Hoss, Tahoss, Rinyan, Torok, Dian, and others nearby should exercise extreme caution.
