Former Big Brother Naija housemate Alex Unusual has raised questions about the viral video showing the recently released pupils and teachers who were abducted in Oyo State.
Reacting to the footage, Alex questioned why the victims’ first public appearance appeared to be a video thanking President Bola Tinubu, while also wondering why the recording was seemingly made in the bush.
She also questioned the official account of the victims’ release, asking why no kidnappers were seen if it was indeed a rescue operation.
“Why is their first care a ‘Thank you Mr President’ video, and why are they still making the video inside the bush? If it was a rescue, where are the faces of the kidnappers?” she wrote.
Meanwhile, another X user also stirred reactions after sharing a screenshot from the viral video, pointing out that one of the released victims appeared to be holding a mobile phone.
The video has continued to generate mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the circumstances surrounding the victims’ release.
