Renowned Nollywood film critic and radio broadcaster Tolu Fagbure has stirred the internet with his statement about actress Wumi Toriola m
In a recent interview, he said that Toriola is better than Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, and Toyin Abraham, in terms of acting. He further said that Wumi is the wisest of them all.

Fagbure added that he watched Wumi Toriola’s movie, Queen Latifa, and called it a better film. He noted how she didn’t credit herself as a producer and hired Judith Audu because she knew she wasn’t capable.
“Wumi Toriola is better than Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, and Toyin Abraham put together when it comes to acting, and she’s the wisest of them all.
If you watch Queen Latifa, it’s a better film production. She didn’t credit herself as a producer; she hired Judith Audu because she knows she’s not capable”.
Last year, Toriola had bragged about her impact following her return to Nigeria. Sharing photos of herself on the plane, she stated that despite being away for three months, the echo of her name stayed loud. She expressed belief that even her algorithm missed her.
The talented scrip interpreter, in another post, threw shade at some of her colleagues for rubbishing her efforts. She revealed that someone called her a YouTube star, and her stubbornness made her take it with so much pride. Wumi noted how some of her colleagues are yet to conquer YouTube and are still floating in the box office world.
In the past two years, Wumi has proven her worth in Nollywood with the premiere of her first cinema movie.
Wumi made history in the cinema world as she was ranked the second-highest producer of 2024, beating the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Eniola Ajao, and others to achieve this milestone.
She earned 57.7 million on her opening weekend. The huge feat made it the highest Nollywood opening weekend for a non-holiday weekend and the highest-ever Nollywood opening weekend by an independent distributor.
The Yoruba star had received a box office award, the box office champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board NFVCB.
