Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar held a closed-door meeting with former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi as part of ongoing efforts by opposition leaders to strategise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting took place in Ibadan, Oyo State, where several opposition figures converged for a national summit aimed at forging a stronger coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Atiku, who is eyeing the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Amaechi were among prominent leaders present at the gathering.
A video of their arrival and activities has been circulating online.The closed-door discussion is believed to centre on building alliances, addressing internal opposition challenges, and developing a unified strategy to challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
