A leading Kano politician from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso, has called on President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to ignore the propaganda and mischievous attacks against his government, mainly from the northern part of Nigeria.

Kwankwaso particularly stated that nothing can stop him from winning the region in a landslide victory, come 2027.

The APC Chieftain, who is also the director finance Hadejia Jammaare River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), stated this in Kano, Monday, adding that the ongoing calculated attacks on the President Tinubu is nothing new at this time of the electioneering period.

“I can tell you, I was part of the former President Goodluck Jonathan government, we saw how they used insecurity, allegations of underperformance, and shared tribal sentiment on him during the elections period but it didn’t work,” he said.

Kwankwaso, added that there was no gainsaying that “even the socalled Northern Leaders who served the nation for decades couldn’t solve the problems of the region but are using same against President Tinubu today.

“Although late President Muhammadu Buhari has done his very best, but it was during his times that the Northwest part of the country experienced and continue to experience the most deadly problems of insecurity.

“Why wouldn’t, Northerners blamed him for failing to rescue the region from the agony of kidnapping, banditry, and the frequent attacks which even resulted to the abductions of several school children under his watch.

“It is high time we tell ourselves the bitter truth, although the President and indeed his security chiefs are the ones in-charge of providing security, but they are not the ones who will carry guns and ammunition to face the criminals, they are doing, and continue to do the needful by providing enough money for supply of weapons and the motivational attachments to troops.

“Nigerians should rather help themselves and the government and not to sit back blowing unnecessary criticism”.

Kwankwaso further made reference to all the good projects started by late President Buhari, that include railways, roads, water supply, buildings, agriculture, AKKK Gas Supply that are all continuing, “with even more motivation by President Tinubu and they are all in the North. So, what else will a leader do for his people?” he queried.

“President Tinubu, has clearly shown and continues to show that he is not a tribalistic or sectional leader. Check out works going on in the North, from Kano, Daura to Maradi, Kano, Abuja, Maiduguri to Porthacourt, Railway programs are going on non stop. Kano to Abuja, Kano to Maiduguri and Kano to Gwarzo to Katsina roads are also all ongoing,” he declared.

Dr Kwankwaso, assured that President Tinubu on election day would before noon receive the message of a landslide victory from the North, “because he has the respected northerners, not sellouts, with him.”

Speaking on the recent defections of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and subsequently that of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Kwankwaso said Kano is fully behind the APC and indeed the President, with the solid powers of people’s in the party.

“I can tell you with Shekarau, Ganduje, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, Senator Barau Jibrin and other powerful persons in Kano APC, it is a strong win for the president.

“Therefore Kano and Indeed the North will be delivered as early as possible,” he said.

Kwankwaso, then urged Nigerians to “disregard propaganda by ADC members who are already frustrated with a political party that lacks legal powers, a party that is in quandary and cannot stand elections and even if they do it will be an action in futility because their victory would be taken for not having legal recognition.”
