The family of four-month-old Araoluwa Nkemka is asking the public for help to fund urgent heart surgery for their infant son.
Araoluwa has been diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) — a hole in the heart that disrupts normal blood flow. Doctors say the surgery must happen soon to avoid further complications.
The procedure at Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, will cost ₦11.9 million. That covers the operation, four days in intensive care, and three more days in a step-down ward for recovery.
His father, Samuel Nkemka, says the family cannot raise the money on their own.
“Our son’s condition is critical. The doctors say we cannot wait. Any contribution will help save his life,” he said.
