Despite court verdicts, INEC stance, ADC pushes ahead, secure national convention venue

Less than 24 hours when the leadership of the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is expected to know its fate at the Supreme Court, the party has defied all odds and has intensified preparations for its much anticipated national convention in Abuja.

Findings by Blueprint.ng Correspondent revealed that the party may have secured the Rainbow Event Center in Garki area for the event as a way of actualising its plan b.

Earlier, unconfirmed reports filtered out that the ADC was denied from using the Eagle square, a report that was later punctured by the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike who said the party never applied to use the venue.

The party it would be recalled held its National Executive Committee (NEC) at the same venue .

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had derecognised Mark’s leadership of the ADC, citing the decision of an Appeal Court that ordered that statusquo ante-bellum be maintained.
