Atiku Abubakar, one of the founding fathers of the African .... Democratic Congress, ADC was recently spotted at the residence of the former governor of Rivers State and erstwhile transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi.
The footages from the meeting, which circulated on different social media platforms, triggered massive reactions as many sought to know the reasons behind the meeting which came few hours after a federal high court in Abuja delivered a judgement.
The two political heavyweights, it can be recalled, had been considered the favourites to secure the ADC presidential ticket, therefore, the meeting was viewed as a behind the scene event on what to be expected in the coming days.
However, Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the ADC and .... erstwhile adviser on media to former President Muhammadu Buhari in a recent statement which was shared on her official X handle, made a striking comment regarding the meeting between the two political heavyweights.
According to her statements, she pointed out that the people were pleased with the two political heavyweights. While she declined to disclose the reasons behind the meeting, many were of the opinion that the duo were on the verge of forming a formidable partnership.
