The Ajisope Development Initiative (ADI) Tuesday commended President Bola Tinubu for approving N3.3 trillion electricity fund to settle long-standing debts in Nigeria’s power sector and improve the reliability of electricity supply.

The founder of the initiative, Alhaji Abdulkabir Adeoye, made the call in Osogbo, Osun state, during an event hosting Christians for Easter and a Bible competition.

He said Tinubu approved the N3.3 trillion to address legacy electricity debts accumulated between February 2015 and March 2025, under the Presidential Power Sector Financial Reforms Programme.

Adeoye demanded improvement in electricity supply and urged stakeholders to ensure the process delivers stable electricity for Nigerians.

Adeoye stated that the Easter celebration was aimed at promoting love and unity, adding that Nigeria’s solutions would be achieved through these values.

He also appreciated President Tinubu for approving the fund and asked Nigerians to pray for the president while warning against sabotage or any actions that could disrupt efforts to provide stable electricity.

Mrs. Funmilola Adesiyan, wife of former Minister of Police Affairs Jelili Adesiyan, commended the initiative for bringing together people of different religions to celebrate love.

She said Nigeria’s challenges could reduce if citizens live with love, adding that insecurity would be easier to address, since people would be less likely to tolerate criminal acts and more willing to support security efforts by providing useful information.
