Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has resumed full team training as Galatasaray step up preparations for Saturday’s Süper Lig clash with Gençlerbirliği.

Victor Osimhen has been out since March 18 after suffering an arm injury against Liverpool in a UEFA Champions League play-off before the international break. His recovery has been accelerated as the Istanbul side chase the title in a tense run-in.

Images released by the club on Wednesday showed Osimhen training fully with teammates while wearing a protective bandage. Last week, he had been limited to individual and non-contact sessions.

The 27-year-old is expected to reach full fitness before the decisive meeting with Fenerbahçe on April 26, though he could still make the squad for this weekend’s trip to Alanyaspor.

Turkish media reports say head coach Okan Buruk has already spoken to the striker about his reintegration as he continues rehabilitation. Since the injury, Galatasaray have dropped five points in three league matches, winning just once and collecting four points from nine.

They sit top on 68 points, two clear of Fenerbahçe on 66, while Trabzonspor remain in the hunt on 64. Osimhen has missed 11 matches in all competitions this season, a period that saw the team lose 16 points.

The striker’s absence has sharpened concerns over the title race, with supporters urging a swift return.

Osimhen who joined Galatasaray for €75 million last summer has scored 12 league goals with four assists in 19 appearances and added seven goals in Europe. He trails Mauro Icardi, who leads the club scoring chart with 13 in 27 league games.

A return this weekend would see Osimhen rejoin the title push with five matches remaining.
