The Anambra State Government has introduced mandatory campaign permit fees for political parties and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Awka, ANSAA Assistant General Manager, Engr. Chika Ngobili, said presidential candidates will pay ₦50 million for campaign permits, senatorial candidates ₦20 million, House of Representatives candidates ₦5 million, State Assembly candidates ₦1.5 million, local government chairmanship candidates ₦2.5 million, and councillorship candidates ₦100,000.
He said the permits cover rallies, posters, banners, branded vehicles, public address systems, flyers, campaign booths, T-shirts, caps and other outdoor promotional materials....... .
