In an interview with Trust TV on Monday, May 18, 2026, Amaechi said Oshiomhole is over 70 years old and should be careful with what he says in public. He said Oshiomhole stated that he (Amaechi) is not a national candidate and often speaks badly about him on TV
Amaechi also stated that he would confront Oshiomhole at the right time but not now because he is currently focused on his presidential ambition.
In Amaechi’s words: “I listened to Senator Oshiomhole, I don’t want to abuse him because I think I will be bringing myself down to him. At his 70 something years, I am not yet 70, he can’t watch what he says. Senator Adams Oshiomhole said I am not a national candidate, he has been gossiping and talking rubbish anytime they put him on TV. Let him wait, one day I will confront him”
