Arsenal Clinch First Premier League Title in 22 Years

Arsenal have been crowned champions of the 2025/2026 English Premier League season, securing their first league title in 22 years.

The Gunners’ triumph was confirmed on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a 1–1 draw by AFC Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal with an unassailable five-point lead at the top of the table heading into the final round of matches.

Arsenal will officially be presented with the trophy following their final-day London derby against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have been the standout side throughout the campaign. Despite a brief dip in form mid-season, their consistency and attacking dominance ensured rivals could not derail their title charge.

This historic achievement marks Arsenal’s first league title since the legendary 2003/04 “Invincibles” season, when the club went unbeaten throughout the entire campaign.

The 2025/2026 side has also etched its name into the record books. Arsenal scored 19 goals from corner kicks—breaking the previous Premier League record of 16—and registered 28 wins, surpassing the Invincibles’ tally by two victories.

The title represents Arteta’s second major trophy as Arsenal manager, adding to his 2020 FA Cup success and two Community Shield wins.

Attention now turns to Europe, where Arsenal stand on the brink of further history. The North London club could cap a remarkable season by claiming their first-ever UEFA Champions League title when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the final at the Puskás Arena in Budapest on May 30.

A victory would seal one of the most memorable seasons in the club’s illustrious history.
