The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, has finally released 279 UTME results that were previously withheld over suspected examination malpractice…WATCH VIDEO HERE
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by the examination body on Thursday, bringing relief to affected candidates who had been anxiously waiting for updates on their results.
According to JAMB, the newly released results are part of ongoing investigations into alleged examination misconduct recorded during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
The Board explained that while some results were eventually cleared and released after investigations showed no strong evidence against the candidates, others have already been cancelled where malpractice was established.
JAMB further disclosed that several results still remain under investigation, especially from centres where suspicious activities were detected by its live monitoring team or where serious reports were received during the examination period.
“Results from centres where suspicious activities were observed remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations,” the Board stated.
The examination body warned that any candidate found guilty after the investigation process would have their result cancelled completely.
JAMB also advised candidates yet to see their results to check their status through its official SMS platform.
According to the Board, affected candidates should send “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
The latest update has already triggered reactions online, with many candidates and parents expressing relief while others continue to demand faster release of pending results.
