BREAKING: OPM Founder Apostle Chibuzor Offers Free Housing to Nigerians Returning From South Africa

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), , has launched a humanitarian initiative aimed at helping stranded Nigerians living in South Africa return home safely.

The cleric made the announcement in an emotional statement shared online, where he revealed that he decided to take action after watching a disturbing video allegedly showing a Nigerian being mistreated in South Africa.

According to Apostle Chibuzor, the video left him deeply troubled and unable to sleep, prompting him to secure a mini-estate in Port Harcourt to accommodate affected Nigerians and their families.

He explained that the estate would serve as temporary shelter for Nigerians returning from South Africa who have no place to stay after arriving in the country.

“If you’re a Nigerian living in South Africa and you are stranded, please come back home. Your life is more important,” he said.

The OPM founder stated that the support package would include free accommodation for married couples and their children, enrollment of children into OPM free schools, and small business assistance for women. He also promised skills acquisition opportunities for men to help families rebuild their lives.

Apostle Chibuzor emphasized that the initiative is open to all Nigerians regardless of tribe or religion, stressing that the welfare of citizens should come first.

He added that the project was funded through tithes and offerings received by the church, noting that the ministry remains committed to humanitarian services and support for vulnerable people.

The announcement comes amid ongoing concerns over xenophobic attacks and alleged harassment of foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians, in South Africa. Over the years, several incidents involving violence and discrimination against African migrants have sparked diplomatic concerns between both countries.

Many Nigerians on social media have praised the initiative, describing it as a compassionate move that could provide hope and safety for struggling families abroad.

Omega Power Ministry has previously been involved in several charity projects across Nigeria, including free schools, scholarship programs, free hospitals, housing support, and empowerment schemes for less privileged citizens.
