Senator Kaka Lawan Disburses ₦135.65 Million to APC Executives Ahead of Eid-el-Kabir in Borno Central
Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Kaka Shehu Lawan, has reportedly disbursed a total of ₦135,650,000 in cash to All Progressives Congress (APC) executives across his constituency ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
According to multiple reports and a statement credited to his legislative aide, Usman Alkali, the funds were shared among party executives in different local government areas within the senatorial district as part of what was described as festive support and appreciation for their political commitment.
The distribution reportedly took place on Thursday, with beneficiaries drawn from APC structures across Borno Central. Alkali noted that the gesture was intended to help party officials prepare for the Sallah festivities and to strengthen party unity at the grassroots level.
He also stated that this is not the first time the senator has carried out such financial support for party stakeholders since assuming office in the National Assembly.
The development has since generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians praising the gesture as a form of political engagement and support for party structures, while others criticized it, questioning the appropriateness of large cash disbursements in a period of economic hardship and ongoing national security challenges.
Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan currently represents Borno Central under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 10th Senate.
