Francis Nwifuru has ordered the recall of all suspended government officials in the state, except those from the Ministry of Lands whose cases remain under investigation.
The governor made the announcement during a church service marking the 2026 Father’s Day celebration at the Government House Chapel.
He said the decision was in appreciation of workers’ support for his administration.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, Nwifuru also expressed concern over some appointees publicly declaring political ambitions without seeking approval, describing such actions as disrespectful.
In his Father’s Day message, the governor praised men for their roles in society, calling them the “pillar and backbone of the family.”
He urged them to continue upholding values such as integrity, sacrifice, and faith, which he said are vital to strengthening society.
Nwifuru reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of families through its People’s Charter of Needs agenda, while also encouraging unity, discipline, and moral responsibility among citizens.
