Popular socialite and entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has sparked fresh political conversations online after opening up about his relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi during an interview with TikTok personality Peller.
Speaking during the interview, Cubana Chief Priest claimed that President Tinubu and members of his camp are still skeptical about trusting him because of his previous support for Peter Obi and his Igbo background.
“Tinubu still doesn’t fully trust me because I’m an Igbo man and I once worked for Peter Obi, so they feel I could betray him too,” he said.
The celebrity businessman also explained why he decided to distance himself from Obi’s political movement ahead of future elections.
“I left Peter Obi because I didn’t want to keep losing. Peter Obi is not ready and I don’t see him winning the next election because there are people who are more ready than him,” he added.
His remarks quickly generated mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics debating his comments and political loyalty ahead of the 2027 general election.

@Emeka Ezeanya: “‘I left Obi cos I no like losing… now Tinubu no trust me cos I fit betray am too.’ Bro, you’re not a strategist, you’re a walking loyalty glitch. Even the new team dey scan your barcode like ‘this one get previous owner.’ Peter Obi never needed your CV anyway. The streets will decide come 2027.”
@Hugo Joel: “U dey raze where u work for obi….? Werey one use obi back up chase clout ode!!!! Pascal no really get sense and for ur mind u matter to tinubu in scheme of things in politics aaah 😱 Weytin dis guy smoke.”
@Fodio: “This guy is the biggest fool in Nigeria. He has chosen the side of evil in this fight if good and evil. By God’s grace he won’t be relevant in Nigeria after next election when we win.”
@Richard: “If you watched this video and you don’t see the foolishness of his mind, then I don’t know what to say to you. For him, it’s not about who has something to offer the nation for it’s betterment.
It’s about who can make him win. It’s not about quality or a genuine reason for winning… Just be able to win, I will follow you. Brains… Not available.. already in his belly.”
@Solace Chukwu: “When two mentally unstable people are talking, its always fun listening to them. They may be discussing ‘how a mountain ran away and came back again with every bit of seriousness’.”
