According to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araghchi said that the UAE’s alliance with Israel “did not protect them either” and warned that such policies should be reconsidered in relation to Iran.
He further stated that while he did not directly mention the UAE in his formal speech at the summit, this was done to preserve unity among participating nations and to avoid direct reference. However, he alleged that the UAE had been directly involved in what he described as aggressive actions against Iran.
Araghchi claimed that at the onset of the confrontation, the UAE did not issue a condemnation and, according to his remarks, allowed its territory to be used for artillery fire and deployment of equipment directed against Iran.
He also referred to recent revelations suggesting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had visited Abu Dhabi during the period of conflict, adding that this development indicated a deeper level of involvement by the UAE in the situation.
Araghchi further alleged that the UAE acted as an active partner in the aggression against Iran, stating there was “no doubt” regarding its participation.
The remarks mark a significant escalation in rhetoric, with Iran publicly accusing the UAE of enabling or supporting hostile actions, while linking its stance to broader regional alignments involving Israel.
