A woman from Dandora Phase 4, Nairobi county, is among the affected parents living in fear after the disappearance of her child.

Joyce Nduta’s life has changed dramatically following the mysterious disappearance of her five-year-old son, Luther Mwangi.

When did Luther Mwangi go missing?

For over 40 days, the worried mother has been moving around searching for her young son.

“I have been putting up posters in the streets, hoping they will help me find my missing son. It has been difficult. The child is under treatment. I do not even want to imagine what could happen to him,” she said in one of her TikTok videos.

The young mum has been posting regularly and consistently on her TikTok account about her son, hoping against hope that she will soon reunite with him.

Mwangi was last seen on Wednesday, April 15, near Baptist Church and was wearing a yellow T-shirt and black trousers.

Joyce Nduta reports to Dandora Police Station

“Please help baby Luther come home. A share would help,” one of her TikTok video captions read alongside a photo of her son.

Nduta reported the disappearance to Dandora Police Station, but so far there have been no updates or leads.

She has appealed to the public to help locate her son and reunite with him as each passing day becomes more difficult.

Social media users swarmed the comment section to offer words of encouragement to the distressed mother as they hoped Mwangi would be found.

Many also dismissed earlier reports claiming he had been found and sought clarification on the status of the missing son.

Embu mum looking for two sons

In another story, Riziki Diana Asha had not seen her children, Ryan Louis Mutugi and Dylan Luwi Mwenda, for several months after they left with their father.

She had neither heard from them nor seen them and appealed to the public and the government to help locate them.

The two brothers were last seen in the company of their father, who had returned to Kenya from Qatar, where he had been working.
