Nollywood actor Laide Olabanji has once again stirred reactions on social media after criticizing fellow actors and actresses who openly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the current administration.
The actor accused some entertainers of remaining silent despite the insecurity and economic hardship facing Nigerians, while still benefiting from the support of movie lovers across the country.
Speaking in a viral statement circulating online, Laide Olabanji said:
“We premiere our movies on Netflix and cinemas all the time and Nigerians has been supporting us, watching our movies on every platform, but you refused to speak for them, even with all the ins£curities and the kp@!ns in the country. Nigerians made you what you are today, not the government. Sham£ on you guys for supporting this b@d government”
His remarks quickly generated debate online, with many Nigerians sharing mixed reactions over celebrities supporting politicians and political parties.
