NNPC Posts ₦481bn Profit in April as Output, Revenue Surge

The NNPC Limited has reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₦481 billion for April 2026, marking a strong rise from the ₦276 billion recorded in March.

According to the company’s April Monthly Report Summary published via its official X handle, crude oil and condensate production increased to 1.68 million barrels per day, representing a 7.69 percent rise compared to the previous month.

Revenue from oil operations also climbed significantly to ₦4.971 trillion in April, up from ₦2.77 trillion in March—an increase of 79.23 percent. Gas production remained largely stable at 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day, almost unchanged from the 7,731 mmscf/d recorded in March.

The report further showed that cumulative statutory payments between January and April 2026 reached ₦3.714 trillion.

Among key operational highlights for the month, the company noted the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project and continued progress on the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano Gas Pipeline. Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline The project is aimed at enabling early gas supply to Abuja in 2026.

NNPC said these developments form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s energy infrastructure, improve efficiency, and boost overall production performance.
