“I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Kebbi State and beyond on this blessed occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, a season of sacrifice, faith, and obedience to Allah.

“May the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim inspire us to uphold peace, tolerance, and unity across our communities as we celebrate this sacred festival with gratitude and humility.

“We remain committed to sustaining peace in Kebbi State by strengthening community dialogue, supporting traditional institutions, and promoting mutual respect among all ethnic and religious groups,” he said.

Gov. Idris said security remains one of the topmost priorities of his government, saying: “We will continue collaborating with security agencies and vigilante groups to protect lives, secure farmlands, and restore lasting tranquility statewide.

“Our administration is accelerating infrastructure delivery across Kebbi, with new roads, bridges, rural electrification, and water projects designed to connect communities and stimulate local economic growth.

“Agriculture, the backbone of our economy, is receiving unprecedented support through the distribution of free assorted fertilisers, improved inputs,  power tiller machines, extension services, irrigation schemes, and access to markets for our farmers statewide.”

According to him, the present administration has expanded access to quality education by constructing, renovating, and re-constructing schools, recruiting teachers, distributing learning materials, and strengthening technical and vocational training for the children’s future.

On women and youth empowerment, he said the present administration “is creating jobs and skills through grants, entrepreneurship training, ICT hubs, and targeted credit schemes to unlock their vast potential.

Pray For Allah Peace, Gov Nwifuru Tells Muslims

The Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has urged the Muslim Ummah and devotees of Prophet Mohammad to, as a matter of moral urgency, pray to Allah for peace, unity, love, and social cohesion among all Nigerians.

The Governor acknowledged that the plethora of challenges facing the country can be tackled with supplications and heartfelt contritions to Allah.

“The truth is that sacred occasions, events, and seasons like this offer us not only the opportunity, but rare privilege to seek spiritual solutions to the plethora of physical challenges greeting and staring starkly at us as a nation.”

“And Eidel Kabir is such an opportunity graciously granted to us to seek Allah’s face and intervention.”

While insisting that Muslim Ummahs should leverage the Kabir season in Nigeria’s best interest, the Governor observed that Peace, unity, and love are the tripartite solutions to our pluralistic questions.

“And so as we celebrate this sacred event, I urge our muslim brothers and sisters to pray for peace across the country, unity in pursuit of a united political front, and love for one another to ensure social cohesion.”

Governor Nwifuru also assured of sustained collaboration with different religious denominations to strengthen interfaith dialogues, which is critical in state building.

“As government, we will continue to partner religious organizations to deliver good governance as enshrined in the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda”.

Gov Radda Urges Muslims To Embrace Sacrifice, Unity

On his part, Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, described Eid-el-Adha as more than a religious festival, noting that it serves as a profound reminder of obedience to God and selfless sacrifice — virtues he said are essential for both leadership and responsible citizenship.

Reflecting on the spiritual significance of the Day of Arafat, regarded as the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, the Governor said the sacred moment offers believers a rare opportunity for divine mercy and answered prayers.

He called on Muslims to use the occasion to pray fervently for peace, security, and lasting stability in Katsina State and across Nigeria.

Governor Radda also drew inspiration from the story of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering submission to Allah, describing it as a guiding example for leaders and citizens navigating difficult times.

The Governor prayed for pilgrims currently performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, wishing them a safe and spiritually rewarding pilgrimage, while asking Allah to grant them Hajj Mabrur and return them home safely.

He further encouraged Muslims to use the Eid season to strengthen brotherhood, support the less privileged, and promote compassion, tolerance, and communal harmony — values he described as central to Islam.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, Governor Radda pledged continued dedication to the welfare, security, and development of all residents of Katsina State, irrespective of religion or background.
