Nigerian music executive and socialite Soso Soberekon has reacted to the controversy surrounding Carter Efe’s unpaid winnings from his celebrity boxing match against Portable.
The widely publicised bout, which trended across social media, saw Carter Efe emerge victorious and was expected to receive a ₦50 million cash prize.
Immediately after the fight last weekend, businessman E-Money announced the reward, assuring that the promised amount would be paid and emphasising his commitment to fulfilling pledges.
However, days later, Carter Efe went live on social media to express frustration, claiming he had not yet received the money. He said he put his life on the line during the match and deserved to be paid promptly, adding that the delay was unacceptable.
Responding to the situation on Wednesday morning, Soso Soberekon addressed Carter Efe via his Instagram story, insisting that the funds were ready for collection. He also directly tagged the entertainer and asked him to come and pick up his money on May 5, 2026.
“@carterefe, Today, Come Collect Fresh 50 Million.”
