Recall that Debbie got married in 2023 in a low-key ceremony. It was alleged that Debbie had gotten married to a married man, an allegation the movie star denied.
In an interview with her colleague Bimpe Akintunde, Shokoya revealed the ultimate betrayal she got from her friends, who spread the rumours that her husband used jazz to marry her. Singing her husband’s praises, Debbie believes God removed these people from her life to prevent setbacks and a meaningless life.
Last year, while celebrating her father-in-law’s birthday, Shokoya revealed that one of her prayers was to have a father-in-law like her father, and God took her heart’s desire personally. Appreciating him, she stated that her father-in-law doesn’t joke about anything related to her, and she praised him for his good heart and all he does for her.
While celebrating her mother-in-law a year back, Debbie expressed how glad and proud she was to have her as her mother-in-law, as her calmness and motherly love are amazing. She appreciated her for birthing the most handsome, caring, and supportive husband and being so strong.
In other news, Debbie celebrated her husband, Lukman Ejalonibu, following his appointment by the Ogun State government as Youth Leader of the Ogun State PDP. Congratulating him on his new feat, she prayed for excellence in all he does and for him to stay blessed and winning.
Debbie addressed a report that her husband had gifted her a new car after she posted a photo of a new car on her Instagram page. She made it clear that she doesn’t own the car; she only sells them.
While celebrating her husband’s birthday, Debbie appreciated him for his support, praising him for clapping loudly for her in a room, holding the ladder for her to climb to the top, and encouraging her to keep doing what she does. Debbie went on to call him the husband of her youth and old age.
